Crafter of the Week - Lisa!

Good Morning!

Today I'm excited to introduce the MayzyArt Crafter of the Week!  Each Wednesday I will feature one of you talented people so that we can all get to know each other a little better.  Instructions are available at the end of this post if you'd like to be featured as a future Crafter of the Week.  I hope to see you here soon!

This week's Crafter of the Week is...
Lisa

That's right, it's our own Lisa from the MayzyArt Design Team!

Lisa is from beautiful Leicestershire in England,  next to rolling fields and lots of farms.  She's been married to her best friend for 3 years and, while they have no children, she is from a big West Indian family, so there's always a niece or nephew she can borrow if she wants to see the latest Disney release at the cinema.  She works 2 days a week for a government agency, but she assures me that she's not a spy!

Lisa is a Sci Fi freak! Her favorite show of all time was Stargate SG1 and she's still upset that it got cancelled.  She likes to watch Stargate DVDs while she crafts, but she also loves Dr. Who, Torchwood, Continuum, Star Trek and really anything remotely Sci Fi related.  Beam her up, Scotty!

In her free time (that's not spent on papercraft) Lisa likes to loom knit, read, cook, and spend time with her Schnoodle, Meadow.  She's also learning to sew.  She loves to craft because she feels like she has become a much more chill person since she started making cards.  She finds something theraputic about turning ideas in her head into actual, tangible items.  She also loves all the wonderful people in the craft community.  It's like having a load of good friends that she's never actually met.

About MayzyArt Stamps, she says, "The quality is consistently high.  You can spot a MayzArt stamp a mile off!  They're also a dream to color and there's always a new release, so it keeps the inspirational momentum going."  Thanks, Lisa!

Go visit Lisa now at her website, papercraftbliss!

Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently.  You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage.  ~Maya Angelou

It's a Blog Party!

Hello Everyone!

I'm sorry that this post is coming up late.  I am in Montana visiting my grandmother and I'm only able to get online by running down to the coffee shop.  Everyone say hello to Grandma Nella!

And now, as promised, we're going to have a blog party!  The basic concept is simple.  I've included links to the blogs of each member of the MayzyArt Design Team! By clicking on them, you'll get to feast your eyes on some fabulous new creations using MayzyArt Stamps.  In addition, each member of the team will be picking one person to win 2 free MayzyArt stamps!  That means you've got 6 different chances to win!  Requirements to win will differ for each DT member and will be listed on their blog posts for today.  Don't delay because winners will be announced on Monday!

Why are we doing this?  Why to celebrate the opening of MayzyArt.com and say a fond farewell to MayzyArt on Etsy.  If you haven't taken advantage of the screaming 50% off at www.mayzyart.etsy.com, do so now!  It will only last until the stamps are sold out and they're almost gone.  Also, be sure to swing by MayzyArt.com and check out the new shop layout.  Got suggestions to improve the store?  Just click on that 'Suggestions Box' tab at the top of this blog.  :o)

Let the Blog Party Begin!!!

What's that?  Oh, well ok then.  I will also award two stamps to one person who comments on this post.  Be sure to include your email address and the comment that Grandma Nella likes best will win!!

Crazy Wednesday

Hey guys,

What a week!  I had a major technical glitch when the flash drive I use to store stamps got stashed behind a couch cushion.  I blame the goblin that has been plaguing me lately.  Lisa thinks I should do a goblin stamp to appease him.  What do you think?

Speaking of Lisa, the first two cards today come from her!  I never really pictured Meri as a red-head.  It looks good on her!

Next we have two great Mother's Day cards from Michelle.  I love how the bold colors and stars make Super Mom look even more super!

And finally, another great Mother's Day card from My Stamping Obsession.  Don't you feel rather peaceful just looking at it?

Great tutorial

Hey folks,

In lieu of sharing cards today, I thought I'd share a great tutorial made by Lisa, from the MayzyArt Design Team.  It was made a while ago, but I'm a little slow figuring out all this technology.  :oP

If you have made a tutorial using a MayzyArt Stamp, please be sure to share it and I will post it here as well!

Oh I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts (doodly doo doo)

Sorry, it's stuck in my head...

So!  Four new stamps in the shop today.  One coming to you straight per customer request.  I truly take all of the ideas you guys give me seriously, so keep 'em coming!  I may not make all of them right away, but they go into the old bean to churn around a while, I promise.

I'm particularly fond of Snail Mail, myself.  Wouldn't that one be fun to just stamp on the outside of your envelope?

And now some lovely projects made using MayzyArt stamps!

School time!

Hey Lords and Ladies of Craftalot!

...I'm feeling a little silly tonight.  It was a long day at work but I got quite a bit done, so life is good!  Only one stamp to post tonight but it's one of my favorites.  You may remember Hailey from the tire swing.  Here she is all dressed up for school.

On to the cards!  I've got a great selection today.  I'm always so impressed by your creations!!

New Stamps! Finally!!

Hey Y'all!

I was finally able to update the shop this morning before heading out to work.  For those interested, I have a 9 to 5 working as a counselor at a local college which shall remain nameless.  I'm on the phone a lot, so that's when I do most of my stamp designing.

Today I posted numbers 4, 5 and 6 of my Cirque du Digi collection.  It was, in part, inspired by the Natalie Merchant music video for "Kind and Generous."  I absolutely loved it back when it first came out and the image of her as the human cannonball was really what drove me to draw all six of them.  Check out the stamps below and, if you'd like to see the music video, go here: http://youtu.be/rdG618TMc5E

Also posted today was little Lorelei.  I will be using her myself to make a birthday card later this week.

And I will leave you today with another beautiful card by the tremendously talented Lisa of Paper Craft Bliss using the 'Looks Like Rain Xandra' stamp.

Alas for the Circus

Oh my goodness! Such a long day at work today and I come home to find my scanner out of commission. Unfortunately, no new stamps tonight, but look for a big shop update tomorrow- including *sneak peek* *sneak peek* *sneak peek* a super pack of all my Cirque du Digi stamps!

But there is good news! Lisa, of Paper Craft Bliss, has made another fantastic card using the Ballerina stamp.

Check out her blog and all her other fabulous creations at http://papercraftbliss.com/blog/!
